This week on The Crew Has it with Michael Rainey Jr. and Gianni Paolo; their guest is Patina Miller. She plays Raquel Thomas in Power Book III: Raising Kanan.
On Monday afternoon, they dropped a preview of the episode, in which Miller talks about the transition from her character Daisy Grant Madam Secretary, to Raquel Thomas on Raising Kanan.
“I’m shooting the last two days on Madam Secretary, and they say series [wrapping] Patina, and then I get a phone call. I go into my dressing room, and it’s my agent and my managers saying congratulations,” said Miller.
Miller was on Madam Secretary from 2014-to 19 as the Daisy Grant and appeared in 116 episodes.
On the show Raising Kanan, Raq plays Kanan Stark’s mother and also served as one main protagonists in season 1-2 of the series, according to starzpower.fandom.com.
Miller recently spoke with Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest on LIVE! About her time starring in Into The Woods on Broadway.
“Into the Woods is one of my favorite musicals and is a musical I didn’t quite understand but I loved the music when I was younger but now that I’m a mother, it lands in such a different way,” Miller said.
Raising Kanan will premiere its second season on August 14 on Starz.
