Ravens Free Agent Quarterback Lamar Jackson Reacts To Fan Using R&B Singer Tank’s Hit Record To Send A Message [Watch]

USA Today

Last week, things were getting complicated between the Ravens and quarterback Lamar Jackson. As the offseason officially starts in Baltimore, Jackson may be ready to continue applying the pressure on the Ravens to get a deal done.

“When you have something good,” Jackson posted on his Instagram story, “you don’t play with it. You don’t take chances losing it. You don’t neglect it. When you have something good, you pour into it. You appreciate it. Because when you take care of something good, that good thing takes care of you too.”

On Monday afternoon, the Ravens QB reacted to a Twitter user that goes by LoveBria02 that posted Tank’s ‘Please Don’t Go,’ music video and tagged the former MVP. He would later reply Bra Chill with the laughing emoji.

The commentary shall be construed as a message to the Ravens. In 2022, they turned him down for a fully guaranteed five-year contract. Most recently, a sense of frustration from the organization has emerged regarding its refusal to play in the playoffs with a PCL sprain. Jackson seems to have done anything over the past couple of years that would describe him as the villain. If the Ravens will subtly characterize him in this way and, or fail to repel the efforts of outside voices to do so, he might as well embrace the role and do what Deshaun Watson did as one of the various steps on his way to a five-year deal. It’s a fully guaranteed deal from the Browns. It’s important to note that he’s finished playing for his current team.

When speaking with Bally Sports’ Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson last September Wizards All-Star guard, Bradley Beal praised Jackson for the approach he’s taken and electing to play despite not having a long term deal in place.

“Football is different than basketball. I’ll say that because I don’t want to speak on other people’s business or what they got going, but I respect what he’s doing. In football, you rarely see guys play if they don’t have a deal or if they don’t have some security in the backend. I respect many football players who have that mindset because it is a business, and football is grimier than basketball; they will cut you like you don’t mean anything.  So, I think I understand that business mindset as a player, but Lamar loves football. You can tell what type of player he is, and you can tell he doesn’t really care about the money he does, maybe, but he’s out there playing,” said Beal.

“So, what are you really judging him on? He’s out there being available for his team, putting it all out there on the line playing a gruesome sport, a physical sport. So, I salute him for everything he is doing, and I hope it’s everything he deserves and wants. And he is continuing to show out, so I guess he is only making his case a little bit better.”
