About Me


Landon Buford was born in Seattle, Washington and raised in Richardson, TX. He obtained his Associates Degree in Arts & Science at Bellevue College in Bellevue, Washington and his Bachelors of Arts in Social Science from Washington State University.  Upon graduating from WSU, Landon worked with Team USA Track & Field Member Long Jumper Norris Frederick as a Marketing Intern. Frederick is known as Washington State’s Most Decorated Athlete.

In 2015 Landon accepted a guest writer positions with ‘The Hype Magazine, ‘RESPECT MAG’, The Rapfest, Dallas Observer ‘Jack Thriller’, ‘Street Khemistry’ and more. In 2016 Landon relocated back to the Dallas area where he continues to pursue a career as a Digital Journalist. Also, his work has been featured in CBS Sports, Yahoo Sports, The Hype Magazine, Dallas Observer, Wrestling Inc, Bleacher Report, BSO, This50, Hornets.com, Fox Sports Southwest, MSN, Scout.com, SBNation, 247sports.com and more.  Buford is currently Senior Editor with The Hype Magazine.

Buford wants to use his platform to help educate the individuals around him who might not have the opportunity to ask public figures questions in their respective professions about specific issues. He also wants to use his platform to tell stories from his perspective.
