Jay-Z Helped Lil Wayne Pay Off His Taxes, Says Wack 100

Lil Wayne and JAY-Z weren’t always friends. For years, the pair exchanged diss songs. That eventually changed, though, and the leaders of rap now consider themselves friends and peers. Actually, Wayne took a moment during his performance in Chicago in 2018 to thank Hova for his generosity.

“There’s “There’s people like JAY-Z. He helped me out when I was really, really, really down. Really, really, really down. There’s people like Swizz Beatz who’s gonna send me every single beat, he makes and wants me to rap on every single one until I got my situation straight,” the rapper told the crowd. “Jay don’t want me to tell nobody. That man helped me with my taxes. He’s a real friend, y’all.”

Wayne was probably talking about the $7.72 million in back taxes that rappers owed years ago. He paid it off in 2012, and as we now know, it was apparently with the assistance of the Blue-Print series artist, according to XXL.

On Wednesday evening, Wack 100 was in the Sleepless in LA room on the Clubhouse app discussing Jay-Z comments on Twitter Spaces earlier this week.

“Ain’t nobody that can stand on that stage with me. I ain’t gonna lie, no disrespect. Everyone’s amazing, they’ve done what they’ve done. No one can stand on that stage with me. There’s not a shot,” said Jay-Z.

“There’s not a chance in hell that anyone can stand on that stage for… I don’t know how long it is? Two hours? Two hours…. That’s ain’t gonna never happen.”

He added, “You got to stand in front of the ‘Grammy Family Freestyle’ live? No one has ever even seen me perform that, you got to stand in front of that? That ain’t never going to happen.”

Of course, that started the conversation of who could square off with Jay-Z in a Verzuz Battle and fans started naming artists such as Drake, Kanye West, Busta Rhymes, Eminem, and then Lil Wayne’s name came up.

One of the panel members on the Sleepless in LA raised the question of didn’t Wayne and Jay have beef, but that was dispelled and geared towards Jay and Baby disagreements. That is when next month’s face of the Clubhouse app, Wack 100 shared that Jay-Z paid Wayne’s taxes.

“He [Jay-Z] played his [Lil Wayne]’ s Taxes and everything,” said Wack 100.
