Power Book IV: Force’s Tommy Egan And Liliana Join Forces & Toast Ghost’s Memory

Starz

During episode three of Power Book IV: Force, Tommy Egan and Liliana join forces after Egan finds the product on the floor of Liliana’s place. However, before the two joined forces, they talked about the past.

Liliana: You didn’t give a f*** about my face when that b*** with the pink sneakers sliced it open when I was running for you.

Tommy: Facts. But, to be fair, we did pay for your hospital bill.

Liliana: You also wanted me dead

Tommy: More than once, but let’s not talk about the past. Let’s focus on the future. Where did you get this product? I know you don’t have the funds to front that kind of weight.

Liliana: From some guys who tried to kill me for my s***.

Tommy: I’m beginning to see a pattern with you. Who was he?

Liliana: I didn’t stick around long enough to find out!

Tommy: He ain’t coming back to collect?

Liliana: I’m the only one that walked away from that fight.

Tommy: Hmmm.

Liliana: I’m not that b*** getting caught slipping in elevators anymore. Sides, it’s been a few weeks. If someone was coming, they would’ve knocked by now.

Tommy: It’s not if; it’s when. Didn’t you learn anything running for us? How many bricks do you got there? Let’s see. We got one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. You got ten bricks. At, what, 30 f****grand a pop? Ain’t nobody just going to walk away from that type of paper. Lucky for you, I kicked in your door.

Liliana: Oh, yeah, I’m really lucky. You get my coke, and I get got.

Tommy: We’re gonna get into some really interesting s*** together. The way I see it, we could either keep trying to kill each other…. Let me rephrase that. I can either kill you, or we can work together. Which one is it gonna be?

Liliana: I’m always on the side of money.

Tommy: Yeah, that’s what I thought, so grab a bag. Pack this s*** up. Let’s get to work.

They would later agree to split the profit 50/50, and toasted Ghost’s memory after Egan found out about Liliana’s talents in cutting the product. During the rest of the episode, Tommy tried to broker a partnership between the Flynns and CBI. However, because of their history, Walter Finn elected not to couldn’t get out of his own way. Due to what the Italians and Greeks would think about them being in business with the CBI known as a black crime organization in Chicago.

“I think it’s important that they show that because Chicago is known to be a very divisional type city,” Keys told Digital Spy. “Like Diamond comes from the south side, the Irish on the other side, and we don’t really interact.”

“I think it’s important that we show that and why. And I think that it continues because there’s a lot of old history between Diamond and Walter Flynn. Walter Flynn has some ideas in his head, a storyline in his head – the things that he feels Diamond and CBI represent, and some things they’ve done. Diamond’s not really concerned about Walter in a sense, but all the stuff starts to come to the table as the season comes along, as it goes along. It starts to come out, and you’re getting all these different things. It’s like being in a relationship with somebody. It’s like ‘Oh, you felt this way about me all this time, and I didn’t know it?’ And it’s like, you’re starting to see that as it goes.”
