Light Skin Keisha Talks About Being Motivated By Power Book II: Ghost Castmates

Starz

Light Skin Keisha is a part of the Power Universe as she plays BruShandria Carmichael in Power Book II: Ghost. Carmichael is a no-the-play-no-games college student and classmate of Tariq St. Patrick, who Michael Rainey Jr plays.

She was also a classmate of Lauren Baldwin, played by Paige Hurd, and killed off last season. Baldwin was caught with drugs on campus when campus security searched her dorm room; it wasn’t her drugs. They were put in her drawer along with a condom by BruShandria Carmichael. She has later used as a pawn to help gather information on Tariq St. Patrick by the police and their professor.

Light Skin Keisha was recently interviewed by Nick Hamilton of Nitecast Media and was asked to describe her experience working in the acting world.

“I love acting it puts me in a different type of vibe. I’m very inspired by my castmates, and I’m motivated by them, Just being in the room with them makes me excited and to be a part of something that’s so huge. You know I’m saying legendary shout out to Courtney Kemp shout out the 50 Cent shout out to everybody that’s doing they thing period,” said Keisha.

“Well, you know I play BruShandria Carmichael. I’m the queen of the classroom, but you know, really that character just representing for the girls who are kind of like you know people sleep on them. Us being a black girls and bravely ourselves with our nails, our hair, how we talk, how we walk, our bodies. People might put us into a box, but BruShandria brings it all in the classroom because she’s the head of her class she’s intelligent she’s smart. She’s sexy cool funny and she is about her business.”

Power Book II season three is selected to be released later this year.
