The Superior Court of San Francisco released Friday’s video and audio taped during last year’s attack on Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, including images of police cameras showing the attack’s moment and the alleged assailant’s interrogation, where he admitted that he wanted to hold the then Speaker of the House hostage.

The video and audio files were released after a California court ruled that the district prosecutor’s office should publicize the materials. One of the videos shows body-cam footage of officers who arrived at Pelosi’s home on October 28, 2022, when he was attacked. The footage shows the chaos when the suspected assailant, David DePape, attacked.

In the video, which consists of graphic and violent content, Paul Pelosi and DePape both seem to have a hand on the hammer and DePape holds Pelosi’s arm when the police open the door

“Drop the hammer,” the officer says.

“Uh, nope,” DePape responds.

DePape then grabbed the hammer from Pelosi’s hand and hurried towards him, hitting him on the head. Officers rushed to the house, restraining DePape and handcuffing him.

In addition to the camera video, the files include audio from a DePape interview, the 911 call Paul Pelosi made while DePape was at home, and the surveillance video showing DePape breaking into the house. The files were exhibited in a pre-trial hearing.

On Friday, Nancy Pelosi thank the public for their support.

“It’s with a grateful heart and on behalf of my entire family that we continue to thank people for all of their prayers that they continue to send us, asking about the progress my husband is making, and he is making progress but it’ll take more time,” she said.

“I won’t be making any more statements about this case as it proceeds, except to again thank people and inform them of Paul’s progress. But that will be the end of what I’ll say about the case,” she added.

After the video was released former NBA veteran Rex Chapman tweeted, “There Are a lot of people and news organizations who owe Paul and Nancy Pelosi apologies.”

He adderd, “He tried to murder him with a hammer.”

“Yet the still didn’t sh…. You know what Nevermind! Let’s just say if he was black,” said Tammy Rivera in the Hollywood Unlocked comment section.

Then Jason Lee responded, “That’s all I could think of.”
