Beyoncé & Rihanna Are The Prince & Michael Jackson Of This Era, Says Jason Lee [Watch]

Jason Lee recently made an appearance on the ‘We In Miami Podcast.’ During that appearance, he shared that Beyoncé and Rihanna were this generation’s Prince and Michael Jackson.
“They’re both very different, and I think they’re the Michael Jackson and prince of this era. I think both are at the top in their own right; I think Rihanna has better, more timeless music,” said Lee.
“That’s going to last forever, but Beyoncé is an amazing performer. So, I think you can love both you know, it’s almost like the Nicki [Minaj] [and] Cardi B question. If you’d asked me two years ago, I probably would have said some s*** because I was trying to get some s*** going because I was mad as f***.”
Lee was then asked if he would rather interview Beyoncé or Rihanna.
“Well, I want to interview both. I will say that I didn’t think a Beyoncé interview was possible until I became friends with Rihanna…I always think Beyoncé seems so safe that I’m too reckless of a n*** to sit down with, but then again, she sent me a note from my book. So, maybe you never know,” Lee said.
On Friday, Beyoncé drops her new album RENAISSANCE. The 28 Grammy winner dedicated this album to her Uncle Jonny, according to Out.com.
“A big thank you to my Uncle Jonny,” the letter reads. “He was my godmother and the first person to expose me to a lot of the music and culture that serve as inspiration for this album. Thank you to all the pioneers who originate culture and the fallen angels whose contributions have gone unrecognized for far too long. This is a celebration for you.”
Beyonce’s new album, Renaissance, features a song that samples Kelis’ Kaleidoscope single “Get Along With You.” The problem is she had no idea about it until the rest of the world did.
According to Pitchfork, credited composers include Pharrell Williams and Chad (presumably Williams’ Neptunes bandmate Chad Hugo).
In a series of comments made by Kelis’ from her cooking account on Instagram, @bountyandfull, she shared her thoughts on her track “Get Along with You,” showing up as a sample on “Energy.” Produced by the Neptunes, the original appeared on her 2000 album Kaleidoscope.
“My mind is blown too because the level of disrespect and utter ignorance of all 3 parties involved is astounding,” reads a comment from the @bountyandfull handle on a fanpage posting about the news. “I heard about this the same way everyone else did. Nothing is ever as it seems, some of the people in this business have no soul or integrity and they have everyone fooled.”
