Alphonse Nicholson (P-Valley), Sheldon “Shel” Bailey (Game Shakers), Sarunas J. Jackson (Insecure), and Charlie McElveen (The Deuce) as NBA players were involved in the shocking events.

Scott will play Blake Griffin, J. Alphonse Nicholson will play Chris Paul, Sheldon Bailey will play DeAndre Jordan, Sarunas J. Jackson will play Matt Barnes, and Charlie McElveen will play J.J.Reddick.

Per Deadline, It has been announced that Laurence Fishburne will play former head coach of Clippers Doc Rivers, Ed O’Neill as Donald Sterling, and Jacki Weaver as Sterling Shelly’s wife.

Speaking of Sheldon Bailey, he spoke with LandonBuford.com on Wednesday evening to discuss his role as former All-Star DeAndre Jordan.

“I’m excited to play DeAndre Jordan, and actually, he has a pivotal role in the events that occurred with the Donald Sterling situation. And, around 2013-14, DeAndre was playing some of the best basketball, if not playing the best of his career. He was leading the league in rebounds and things like that. So, for me, a guy who has played NBA players, commercials, and body doubles, that’s another feather in my cap,” said Bailey.

Bailey, as he mentioned, has played athletes and body doubled for them, but were does he rank this role in comparison to others he’s played.

“Think this is probably the strongest cast well outside of Shameless, right? This is perhaps the strongest cast I’ve been with when it is all said and done. One of the most high-profile things that I’ve done. I don’t know if it will eclipse Space Jam 2 or the international popularity of Game Shakers, but performing with guys like Laurence Fishburne, Ed O’Neill, and the other guys that are playing NBA basketball stars on here that are very accomplished TV actors. So, I would put it up there at the top. I mean, FX is a great network to be working for.”

Donald Sterling’s comments were recorded by V. Stiviano, assistant and girlfriend. After seeing Stiviano’s Instagram post posing with black men, according to TMZ.

“It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you’re associating with black people. Do you have to? You can sleep with [black people]. You can bring them in, you can do whatever you want. The little I ask you is not to promote it on that … and not to bring them to my games,” said Sterling.

“I’m just saying, in your lousy f******* Instagram, you don’t have to have yourself with, walking with black people…Don’t put him [Magic] on an Instagram for the world to have to see, so they have to call me. And don’t bring him to my games.”

Donald Sterling’s remarks were the beginning of the end for him in the NBA since he was later fined and banned forever.

When the story broke out in 2014, Sheldon was living in Los Angeles and a fan of Lob City.

“I lived here in LA and was a Lob City fan. So, for me, it was wild, and I honestly didn’t want the guys to play. I wanted them to take a stand, but it was interesting how the league pushed Donald Sterling out because of that. Many owners have gotten away with that behavior for a long time. So, I feel like the NBA rectified it, and Steve Ballmer is one of the best owners in the league.”

The former Microsoft bought the Los Angeles Clippers for $ 2 billion.

“Lots of people run lots of numbers. I feel like I paid a price I’m excited about. It obviously was a price that was negotiated and I feel very good about it. It’s not a cheap price, but when you’re used to looking at tech companies with huge risk, no earnings and huge multiples, this doesn’t look like the craziest thing I’ve ever acquired…. And compared to some of the public traded companies, there are great companies out there like Amazon with absolutely no earnings and a huge market caps and lots of risk. There’s much less risk. There’s real earnings in this business. There’s real upside opportunity.

H/t For The Win

Bailey also added the he looked for to working with Laurence Fishburne. As for Donald Sterling, he was interviewed TMZ in April of 2019 and revealed he still watches the team. He also wished them the best.
