Seattle singer-songwriter Prience Moore is showing us his uncanny ability to spin life’s most ordinary moments into musical gold with his new single, “No You And Me (Without The Kids).” Based on an encounter in a neighborhood grocery store one day, the song perfectly conveys the raw, sometimes bittersweet truths about relationships, family, and those decisions we make that define us.

You are pulled into Prience’s world of self-reflection, and his lyrics are refreshingly open, and you can feel the heaviness in his storytelling. The song treads the fine line between feeling the pull of love and the push of obligation, giving us a glimpse inside a messy world that feels very present without ever becoming contrived or distant.

Produced by Michael Miller at Unlimitedtalents, “No You And Me (Without The Kids)” is a lesson in cutting the right kind of deal musically. Miller exploits to brilliant effect Prience’s affectionate vocal style, resulting in a sound that is both close-up and panoramic. For Prience, the process of recording was transfiguring. For the first time, witnessing his words come to life as music, he felt a renewed level of connection with his own art.

The result comes across less as a song and more like a conversation, something to which anyone who has had to make changes (or talked with them) can relate. And with “No You And Me (Without The Kids),” Prience Moore secures his position as an artist who listens to life and sings it back, genuinely from the heart and soul.
