Nets’ Steve Nash Will Get Fired If Nets Don’t Start Strong, Says NBA Insider
Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets appear to have patched the fences after an eventful season.
The team announced in a statement by GM Sean Marks that Marks, Durant, Nets head coach Steve Nash, the Nets owner, Joe Tsai, and Durant’s business partner, Rich Kleiman, all met and agreed to go ahead with the 2022 season.
This brings an end to the 2022 offseason nightmare for the Nets that began with doubts about Kyrie Irving’s future with the team and evolved into a complete collapse when Durant officially requested a trade in the Nets four years left on his contract.
Despite agreeing to move forward with the 2022-23 season, according to an NBA source, Steve Nash will get fired immediately if the Brooklyn Nets don’t get off to a hot start.
On Tuesday morning, Stephen A. Smith suggested that Mark Jackson could be a great replace Nash.
