Marty Singer, a well-known attorney representing Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE), has responded to a lawsuit that claims sexual misconduct against two of the record label’s top executives and calls the claims unfounded.
“fabricated” and a blatant “shakedown.”
With the lawsuit, Singer stated:
“This is a clear example of a shakedown lawsuit by Linda Luna and Ayah Altayri, who made a demand of $48 million through their attorneys based on fabricated claims. Their attorneys are just looking for their ten minutes of fame.”
He further dismissed the claims, claiming that evidence would confirm his client’s innocence.
“There are text messages and communications that completely refute these baseless claims. Additionally, Ms. Luna and Ms. Altayri were never employees of Top Dawg Entertainment. We are confident that we will prevail in this action.”
The lawsuit, filed earlier this week, alleges that TDE’s Chief Marketing Officer, Brandon Tiffith, made unwanted sexual advances towards the first plaintiff. Also, she accuses TDE President Anthony Tiffith Jr. Of misbehavior, which has caused her to be harassed repeatedly. The plaintiff also claims that the label did not uphold the terms of a professional services contract. The second plaintiff’s claims include multiple instances of harassment at TDE’s property, as well as being forced to drink underage for sexual exploitation.
Both sides seem prepared for a tense legal battle as the case unfolds. TDE, which contains some of the most prominent hip-hop artists, has not issued an official statement yet except for Singer’s response.
