Justin Little Hails Travis Scott as the Kanye West of His Generation: Recognizing the Astounding Creativity and Influence

During a recent Clubhouse discussion hosted by Trap Bradshaw in the ADHD Club, mental health expert and national speaker Justin Little made a bold declaration, placing Travis Scott on a pedestal akin to the legendary Kanye West. Little passionately praised Scott’s accomplishments, creativity, and influence in the music industry, asserting that the rapper and producer has achieved heights that few others in his generation can match.

As the conversation delved into the topic of music and the impact of various artists, Little was asked whether anyone from Kanye West’s camp has accomplished what Travis Scott has achieved. His emphatic response was a resounding “no.” According to Little, Travis Scott deserves to be placed above other esteemed artists like Big Sean, solidifying his position as one of the most influential figures in contemporary hip-hop.

“Your question is whether anyone from the Kanye camp has accomplished what Travis [Scott] has accomplished, and the answer is no. I put him with his album [UTOPIA]. I put Travis above Big Sean easily, and Travis needs to be in the conversation we start talking about. Obviously, Drake, [J] Cole are in their own little category. Then you talk about Future, Nicki [Minaj], when you start talking about the 2010s, and Travis [Scott] is right up there with Future. When you look at what Travis has done and how he started his career, the writing for Ye, producing, production, and the album credits, he produced almost every record on his album,” said Little.

“He has been doing that throughout his whole career. The creativity that he’s done while rapping musically, he up there you are not going to find anyone else, he’s not accomplished what Ye accomplished, but to me, he is the Ye of his generation. Even though Drake writes some music, he’s not a producer on the level that Travis is. The way that Travis produced for other people and produced for himself his own catalog, there’s one else. The closest person in this generation to Travis is going to be Tyler [The Creator], but Tyler is less mainstream than Travis [Scott]. He is more mainstream than Tyler. But Tyler is the next person I think of as creative that produces his own stuff that’s put other people on that’s super dope, but Tyler will always be a niche guy. Travis has super succeeded, and with Astroworld, he became a superstar. Travis is the Ye of the 2010s. He is the Ye of this generation.”

Comparing Travis Scott to icons like Drake and J. Cole, Little highlighted the unique category they occupy. However, he argued that when discussing the 2010s and the remarkable talents that emerged during that era, Travis Scott’s name must be at the forefront. Little asserted that Scott’s accomplishments and contributions to music, particularly in terms of writing, producing, and creativity, place him in a league of his own.

Scott’s early involvement in Kanye West’s projects as a writer and producer laid the foundation for a career brimming with innovation and artistic brilliance. Throughout his journey, Travis Scott has been involved in almost every aspect of his music, from production to writing, showcasing a multifaceted approach that sets him apart from his peers.

The mental health expert further emphasized the significance of Scott’s producer role, commending his exceptional talents in producing not just for himself but also for other artists. His ability to wear both the artist and producer hats has contributed to his massive success and impact on the music landscape.

With albums like “Astroworld,” Travis Scott elevated himself to superstar status. The album’s immense success catapulted him into a league of his own, garnering critical acclaim and commercial triumph. Little’s comparison of Scott to Kanye West stems from recognizing their shared propensity for unparalleled creativity and influence over their respective generations.

While acknowledging the unique and creative talents of Tyler, the Creator, Little emphasized that Travis Scott’s mainstream appeal places him at the forefront of this creative movement. he hailed Scott’s accomplishments in superceding the niche status that sometimes accompanies artists like Tyler, solidifying his status as a true mainstream superstar.

In conclusion, Justin Little’s passionate and insightful remarks on Clubhouse celebrate Travis Scott as the Kanye West of his generation, acknowledging his exceptional creativity, influence, and accomplishments in the music industry. Scott’s unique blend of talent as a rapper, producer, and creative visionary has catapulted him to the forefront of contemporary hip-hop, making him a force to be reckoned with. As the legacy of both Kanye West and Travis Scott continues to evolve, it is evident that they have each left an indelible mark on the world of music, inspiring a new generation of artists and redefining the boundaries of creativity.
