This week on The Crew Has It with Michael Rainey Jr & Gianni Paolo, Joseph Sikora was their guest. During the episode they discuss a variety of topics including scenes that he didn’t agree with and they came out better than he thought.

“Well, you know, it’s sometimes you have, I think we’ve all gone through that, your frustrations of like how is this going to turn out or and you know wanting to it’s all done out of a place of love and respect for what we’re doing, but I think Shanna Stein said it wonderfully once. To me that was just like just remember like you have a whole crew of people who want this to be great right so everybody is striving for the greatness and primarily it wasn’t for me to agree or disagree. With Courtney [Kemp] creating the show, she’s tremendous and brilliant storyteller and an incredible writer. Then when they brought in Gary Lennon in the second season he’s really the um creative voice behind the Tommy character,” said Sikora.

” The second season of The power show okay Gary came in as a co-executive producer, and Gary ended up being the co-showrunner of the Power second season at the end of the series. He’s running a Power Book Four, and I’m grateful to have him back because Gary’s just incredible so much of Tommy came through the filter of Gary and then through me but to go back to the development of timing, I’ve told this story before. It was funny for many reasons, but when everybody was so excited that you got this show, this new thing, except my buddy David Schwimmer [Ross from Friends]. He was excited, but he played Ross on Friends, but you know he’s known for his first comedy.”

Sikora added, “I said to him, you know it’s a great character, but there’s it’s not a whole lot of humor in this guy I mean he’s you know they’re so serious in all these situations. Tommy in the first episode anyways. So, I really tried to find those places for humor like when Holly comes into Tommy’s apartment I was like can we put a gun on the table they’re like yeah okay then so and that’s instead of just like there’s a gun on the table, so try to create the humor in the character.”

According to he will be featured in a upcoming horror film called ‘Fear,’ along side Andrew Bachelor, Annie Ilonzeh, Ruby Modine, Iddo Goldberg, Terrence Jenkins, Jessica Allain, and Tip “T.I.” Harris next month.
