The 2022 NBA All-Star Game is in Cleveland this year and Sunday afternoon before the game got underway. Former NBA veterans and the host of NBA Hooper Vision Jamal Crawford and Quentin Richardson were interviewed by former NBA 2k host Rachel Demita on NBA Twitter.

During their chat, Demita shared that there are seven first-time All-Stars this year, including LaMelo Ball, Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, and DeJounte Murray, to name a few. Then she asked which of the first time all-stars were they looking forward to seeing.

Jamal Crawford went first and named DeJounte Murray and LaMelo Ball.

“For me, I say it’s DeJounte Murray and LeMalo Ball, those two species! DeJounte is like a little brother, and I am excited about his growth. Seeing his path and his journey, I know he is going to compete, and I know he is going to play hard,” said Crawford.

“That will up the level, and LaMelo Ball keeps you on the edge of your seat. You just don’t know what he is going to do. He has some of that special sauces and I know he is going to bring some of that sauces out for the game. So, I’m excited about those two.”

As for Quentin Richardson, he is also excited for them and Fred VanVleet and Ja Morant.

“For me, I’m excited for those guys as well, but Fred VanVleet being un-drafted and taking the route and the path that he had to take to get here. I think it is something beautiful to see him achieve,” said Richardson.

“I’m extremely excited to see Ja Morant and see if this will begin his reign. As some of these guys get older, I want to see if he can take hold of that starting spot.”

Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies are third in the Western Conference, while the Raptors are seventh in the Eastern Conference.

Make sure to catch the All-Star game later today at 8 pm EST on TNT or TBS.
