Late Monday evening Anthony Slater of The Athletic reported that Fox’s injury is an Avulsion fracture in his left index finger.

According to an NBA source, who spoke with LandonBuford.com, Fox’s avulsion injury is similar to that of the late great Kobe Bryant during his legendary career. It is also an injury that can be played with.
“An avulsion fracture is when instead of the tendon tearing, it takes a small piece of bone. Athletes can play with this injury,” per an NBA Source. “The finger gets taped and stabilized. Very similar injury as Kobe when the Lakers won the championship.”
