Earlier today, Baseball Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. And Bryson Tiller jumped on Instagram Live to talk about their collaboration that dropped yesterday called S24 x TrapSoul Capsule Collection.

“I’ve been involved in many great projects throughout my 30-year career in the music industry, but this is undoubtedly the most exciting,” said Dorian Washington, SVP of Artist Relations for S24.

The limited-edition collection includes sweaters, hoodies, t-shirts, jackets, cargo pants, caps, and backpacks at $35-$195 (USD). All pieces are unisex and come in xs-3xl sizes.

S24 is a team sport and apparel brand inspired by the legendary Ken Griffey Jr. In 1995, Griffey’s Ionic Swing was transformed into an internationally recognized brand and symbol under the name of Swingman. Griffey’s enormous impact transcended the game and was experienced by culture, sport, and style. Anchored in its rich heritage, the S24 brand blends classic greatness and modernity for the next generation of legends.

During their Live conversation, Griffey and Tiller talked about finally being able to release this collaboration which is featured on  www.werunthegame.com.

“I’m happy we got this drop-down,” said Griffey.

While Tiller added, “It’s amazing I’m glad we got to do this, it’s been a long time coming. It’s just a blessing to be synonymous with you a legend.”

“I tell everyone that I’m just a bridge between the old and new school. You know, let the new guys keep going with all the swag, and someone had to be the bridge,” Griffey shared.

“You guys take the torch and run with it, and that’s what we’re proud of.”

Also, during the conversation, Ken Griffey Jr talked about learning how to fly planes so he could visit his kids in college.

“I figured that my kids were going to go to school in Florida, so I figured I learned the plane. Flying in and flying back home,” said Griffey.

“Then they end up going to Arizona, so I did go out there in a single-engine plane, it kept going and going, now it is flying a jet.”

Last year, Griffey became a minority owner of the Seattle Mariners.

“I’m excited for this incredible opportunity to join (Mariners chairman) John (Stanton) and the rest of the Mariners partnership group,” Griffey said in a statement. “This is a dream come true because of the relationship I’ve always had with the team, its fans, and the city of Seattle. I view this as another way to continue to give back to an organization and community that has always supported me, and my family. I’m looking forward to continuing to contribute to this organization’s success in any way possible.”

Griffey was drafted by Seattle with the first overall pick in 1987, then became the team’s star for the first 11 seasons of her career. For a decade from 1989 to 1999, he made 10 All-Star teams, won 10 Gold Glove awards, hit 398 home runs, and won the American League MVP award in 1997. In addition, Griffey helped guide the Mariners to two division championships, highlighted by a run at the ALCS in 1995.
