Seattle Storm Sign Ivana Dojkić

The Seattle Storm announced today the signing of free agent point guard Ivana Dojkić (EYE-vana DOY-kitch). Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Ivana is a passionate player who brings great size and energy to the Storm,” said Noelle Quinn, Seattle Storm Head Coach. “She is an excellent passer with a natural feel for the game, and is a versatile scorer with the ability to get to the rim and shoot the three.”

Dojkić, a 25-year-old, 5-11 point guard from Rijeka, Croatia, is in her ninth season of professional basketball, playing her first season with Zagreb in the Croatian league as a 16-year-old in 2013-14. She is in her second season with Virtus Segafredo Bologna of Italy’s top division, averaging 13.6 points, 4.4 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game this season. Through Bologna’s run during the 2022-23 EuroLeague regular season, Dojkić averaged 12.2 points, 3.1 assists and 2.7 rebounds in nine games.

Dojkić has represented her home country on the international stage since joining the Croatian U16 team in 2012. She has played 18 games for the senior national team, averaging 16.2 points, 3.4 assists, and 3.2 rebounds, including scoring 42 points with eight assists and seven rebounds in two games in the 2023 FIBA EuroBasket qualifiers.
