The Dallas Wings announced on Tuesday that they have signed three-time WNBA champion and veteran forward Alysha Clark. The 13-year veteran will bring a lot of wisdom and leadership to Pegasus City after stops in Seattle, Las Vegas, and Washington, D.C.
According to the Dallas Wings press release, Clark is one of five active players with at least 400 games played, averaging 6.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 0.7 steals, and shooting 47.7% from the field over 423 appearances. Last season, Clark played 27 games for the Seattle Storm before being traded back to the Washington Mystics to finish out the 2025 season.
The Seattle Storm traded a first-round pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft, along with forward Alysha Clark and guard Zia Cooke, to the Mytics in exchange for guard Brittney Sykes.
“This was a great opportunity to continue building our program and move us closer to our long-term goals,” stated Wideman. “Alysha brings veteran leadership that in invaluable as our team continues to develop and grow.”
After being signed by the Wings on Tuesday, Vice President and Dallas Wings Executive Vice President and General Manager Curt Miller spoke about wanting to add veteran leadership to their young locker room.
“We are excited about the signing of Alysha Clark,” said Miller. “Our goal during this offseason was adding additional veteran leadership to our locker room. AC is a respected veteran in this league and brings versatility to our roster. She is a three-time champion and a fierce competitor. She has many of the intangibles we were looking for.”
Clark is a three-time WNBA champion, winning two in Seattle during the 2018 & 2020 seasons alongside Sue Bird, Breanna Stewart, and Jewell Loyd, and another with the Las Vegas Aces in 2023 alongside A’ja Wilson, Chelsea Gray, Kelsey Plum, Candace Parker, and Jackie Young. Clark is also a former Sixth Woman of the Year (2023) and earned WNBA All-Defensive First Team (2020) and WNBA All-Defensive Second Team (2019) honors throughout her WNBA career.
Per the Wings’ release, Clark currently holds the third-highest Effective Field Goal Percentage (.567) and 13th-highest True Shooting Percentage (.593) in WNBA history. She is also the only player in league history to have at least 2700 points, 1400 rebounds, 600 assists, 350 three-point field goals made, and a shooting percentage of at least 47% from the field.
Clark has also spent some time overseas, where she has built a strong international resume, including winning three Israeli Champions (2015, 2016, 2023), the 2019 Ligue Feminine de Basketball Champion (France), and the 2018 Basket Liga Kobiet MVP (Poland). The last two years, she competed in Athletes Unlimited and helped lead Team Eclipse to the 2026 championship title.
Clark also had a successful college career, beginning at Belmont University (2005-2007) before transferring to Middle Tennessee (2008-2010). She also led the NCAA in scoring in back-to-back seasons (in 2009 & 2010).
Clark will also be an asset off the court, as she is known for her work in the Seattle Community, Vegas, and Washington, DC, at local children’s hospitals and animal shelters. She is also an avid cook, and, if I do say so myself, always one of the best-dressed in the WNBA.
