Despite having most of their cap space invested in Anthony Davis, LeBron James, and Russell Westbrook, the Lakers have added some quality free agents. Los Angeles Lakers GM Rob Pelinka has signed Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, Trevor Ariza, Wayne Ellington, Malik Monk, and Kendrick Nunn.
Someone really excited about the addition of Nunn was Lakers fan O’Shea Jackson Jr.
“Holy F***, we got Nunn!?!, Jackson tweeted.
He wanted to have former Spurs guard Patty Mills back up Russell Westbrook but got Kendrick Nunn instead. He is more athletic and explosive than Mills.
Two seasons ago, Kendrick Nunn finished second in the Rookie of the Year as a member of the Miami Heat only behind Grizzlies guard Ja Morant. After his second season with the Heat, Nunn averaged 14.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game in 56 games. Now, he can continue writing his story with the Los Angeles Lakers.
