The World Cup continues Friday with a quarterfinal match between the Netherlands and Argentina. Underworld superstar Lionel Messi, Argentina has won three consecutive games since its first loss against Saudi Arabia and has three more wins of its first championship since 1986.

The Netherlands, widely considered the best football nation ever to win the World Cup, was in top shape in the round of 16 when it eliminated the United States.

The benches of the Lusail stadium opened briefly in the 89th minute after Argentina’s Enzo Fernández kicked the ball directly to the Netherlands bench after a foul on Leandro Paredes. Paredes was issued a yellow card, but Fernández avoided one after he reviewed the incident. Argentina has to hang on for a minimum of 10 minutes.

After the clip started to circulate the internet and social media, Buffalo Wild Wings reacted to the clip on Twitter.

“got a little spicy there, said Wild Wings.

The Cleveland Jewish News The Levine High School Player of the Week featured by Buffalo Wild Wings in the fall. The sports seasons were honored at an awards banquet on December 1 for the success of student athletes on and off the playground.

Kevin S. Adelstein, publisher and CEO of the Cleveland Jewish News, and chairman of the Cleveland Jewish Publication Company, opened the celebration by honoring the award’s namesake, the late Les Levine was a fixture in Cleveland sports for five decades and was inducted posthumously into the Ohio Associated Press Media Editors Journalism Hall of Fame April 3, by Adelstein.

This year is the first time the awards celebration has been held without Levine, who died on Feb. 3, 2022, Adelstein said, calling him a “fixture” in the Jewish community and Cleveland sports, from the pros all the way down to high school athletics. The Cleveland Jewish News is “so honored” to name these awards for him, Adelstein said “Les would be so proud” of tonight’s honorees, he said, adding that seeing student-athletes succeed “was so important to Les.”

Les’s wife, Allison Levine, was asked to congratulate the award recipients.

“I want to tell you that I’m very proud of each and every one of you,” she said. “And I want to congratulate the coaches, parents, and grandparents, many of whom I know … It’s hard to be a student athlete.”

Levine said she was honored to represent her husband at the awards and knew how strongly he felt about these athletes.

“He would be so proud of each and every one of you,” she said. “And keep up the good work.”
