Kevin Durant Shares How He’s Feeling After MCL Diagnosis

Earlier this month, Nets’ forward Kevin Durant was diagnosed with a sprained MCL in his left knee. He suffered the injury during the 2nd quarter against New Orleans on January 15 at 5:38 left quarter. Following the announcement, Durant will be out indefinitely.
Kevin Durant would leave the game with 12 points in 12 minutes.
Durant was injured when teammate Bruce Brown was hit by Herbert Jones while driving and fell backward. Durant grabbed his knee, tried to walk it, and then asked to be taken out of the game. He was limping by the time he left the arena in the fourth quarter.
Per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, there’s “optimism” it will be a 4-to-6 week rehabilitation for Durant.

“On Tv, it looks like you took a hard fall. But to me, it’s like yo that s*** was just a little nudge to me. But this one felt looked like I may need to go walk to the back. So, you kind of know the ones, especially if you’ve had a few injuries before. So, I knew it was a little deeper, but I’m glad it wasn’t as bad as it could’ve been,” said Durant.
“My whole leg was extended once he hit it, So I’m glad that I was able to take that and come out with a sprained MCL.
