Ashanti Says She Has A Movie Dropping At The Top Of 2022 & Will Be Re-Recording Music Soon [Watch]


Recently Ashanti attended the 2021 Soul Train Awards over the weekend. She was honored this year with the Lady Of Soul awards for her achievements in the music industry.
“I’m honored to be recognized as this year’s Lady of Soul honoree,” the 41-year-old Grammy-winner said in a statement according to Entertainment Tonight. “This is a full-circle moment for me because I received the ‘Aretha Franklin Entertainer of the Year’ Award at the Lady of Soul Awards in 2002. As we commemorate 50 years of Soul Train, I’m proud to be a part of this legacy and to return to the Apollo to celebrate.”
According to CBS 2, she also received her flowers from her former Murder Inc. Labelmate Ja Rule.
“I’m very, very happy that she’s getting her flowers here at Soul Train,” Ja Rule said.
Fat Joe also shared that he was proud that BET and Soul Train acknowledged his friend.
“I’m proud of BET and Soul Train for acknowledging her because she’s been a beautiful ambassador to hip-hop and R&B,” Fat Joe said.
On Tuesday afternoon, the ‘Foolish’ singer was on Instagram Live where she shared that she had an amazing experience at the Soul Train Awards that dropped on Sunday of this week on BET.
“I had an amazing experience at the Soul Train Awards, so make sure you tune in on Sunday. It is going to be so much fun,” said Ashanti.
Ashanti also showed off her Presidential Proclamation from The City Council of Baltimore plaque and Soul Train Award.
Later in the Live, she shared that she would be re-recording some music.
“I’m definitely getting back into the studio super-super soon with that re-record. Very excited about that and a have a movie at the top of the year.”
Recently, Irv Gotti shared that Ashanti is ‘fuck me out of my Masters’ with the re-records.
“She can do this under the COVER laws. But she is basically trying to fuck me out of my Masters. And make people decide which album to listen too or stream. Hoping her loyal fans will choose her version.”
