After losing games three and four at home against the two defending champions Golden Warriors, the Los Angeles Clippers were able to beat force as game six back in Los Angeles. Behind the scoring of Danilo Gallinari, Montrezl Harrell, Patrick Beverley, and as Jamal Crawford named him a professional bucket getter, that is Lou Williams. Williams led the Clippers in scoring with 33 points and ten assists, while Patrick Beverley added 17 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.

As for the Warriors, Kevin Durant led the team with 45 points, six rebounds, and six assists. The Splash Brothers Steph and Klay added 46 points, but it wasn’t enough to send the Clippers home for the summer. Inside their will be a game six this evening and the Warriors are starting to tread into familiar water as they keep allowing the Clippers to hang around. A couple a years ago, they allowed the Cavs to hang around, and they ended up winning the championship. Kevin Durant himself has been in this situation as well as, the Warriors were down 3-1 and came back to take the series before the Cavaliers won the 2016 NBA Championship.

After the 129-121 loss to the Clippers, TNT Analyst Carles Barkley stated that Golden State took game five for granted.

Steve Kerr would reiterate that he felt like they took this game for granted and didn’t bring the same energy that they had in game three and four in Los Angeles.

“We weren’t right from the beginning we gave up 37 points in the first quarter — everything that we did in LA we did not do tonight. We sort of seem to take it for granted that we were going to be okay. I said it before the game, this Clippers team has been scrapping and crawling all year, and you knew they weren’t going to go down without a fight. I think Patrick Beverley and kicked our butt right away and got three offensive rebounds,” said Kerr.
