Miami Heat shooting guard Dwyane Wade and Dallas Mavericks Power-Forward Dirk Nowitzki’s careers have been intertwined dating back to 2006 when both the Mavericks and the Heat faced each other in the NBA Finals.  Wade and the Heat were able to get the best of Dirk and the Mavericks in a six-game series, after the Mavericks took a two-game lead heading to Miami. Unfortunately, for the Mavericks they weren’t able to win another game in that series.

After that series was over Ex FBI agent Warren Flagg, who was a 20-year veteran with the bureau. Flagg said that he consulted with Cuban after what transpired in the 2006 Final.

“Cuban asked me what he should do,” Flagg sa犀利士
id of the 2006 Finals. “I told him, ‘Sue and you’ll win your case,’ but he knew he’d be killing the Golden Goose.”

Cuban would issue  a rebuttal on Twitter

To set the record straight. I have never hired or consulted with any former FBI agents to investigate our 2006 Finals.

According to sources close to the situation, said Cuban contemplated selling the franchise after the loss to Miami.

Ironically, both franchises would meet again five years later in 2011, this time Dallas would get their revenge beating  LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Wade, and the rest of the Miami Heat in six games. Bringing home the franchise’s first NBA title and getting a little redemption for the controversial defeat that occurred five years earlier in 2006.

Fast forward eight years, three-time NBA Champion Dwyane Wade announced before the 2018- 2019 season that this will be his last dance and Wade has been on a farewell tour ever since.  Wade was recently in Dallas for one last time to face the Mavericks in a game that saw the Heat beat the Mavericks 112 to 101.

After the game, Wade answered a bunch of questions during his post-game media scrum.  The final question to him during the scrum was about him and Dirk possibly co-headlining the 2024 Hall of Fame Class to put a storybook ending to their legacies and stories.

“It would be phenomenal. I played this game because it was my sanctua威而鋼
ry because it was my way out. When I picked up a basketball I didn’t pick up and say I wanted to be a  Hall of Famer one day. So, to be in that position to one day walk away from this game, and to be able to say I could be a Hall of Famer in this game. To be able to enter the Hall of Fame hopefully one day with other great players that you played against and had battles against would be incredible,” Wade told Fanatics View reporter Landon Buford.

He would continue:

“So, knock on wood, I hope everyone votes for me when that time comes”

What do you think?
