Houston Chronicle

It has been a little over eight years since the former Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel announced that he would be forgoing his senior year to enter the NFL draft. However, while he was at Texas A&M, apparently Manziel was being chauffeured to class in a golf cart.

” I pretty much had my own little golf cart after a while… Before the Alabama game, I was not getting bothered on campus whatsoever. We went and played that game on a Saturday went back to school on a Monday; it probably took me an hour & a half to get across campus from people coming up to me,” said Manziel.

“I went straight to the athletic department and said I needed some help and something gotta change. Credit to A&M; they helped me as best as they could at the time. I don’t think they really understand the madness from that one game.”

The game that Johnny Manziel referred to happened on November 11, 2012; Texas A&M Aggies were ranked 15th in the country and upset the number one Crimson Tide 29-24.
