Washington Commanders Owner Dan Snyder has been in the news for all the wrong reasons, whether it’s the pending NFL Investigation into his involvement in recording Commanders’ an allegation that he has denied any knowledge of the tapes exists, Per SI.com.

Snyder was also in the news after Anheuser-Busch cut ties with the Commanders as they looked to distance themselves from the organization, but not their fans.

“We remain fully committed to Washington football fans. According to the company’s statement released to the Washington Post, “we look forward to continuing our long-term partnership with the NFL and our other 26 team partners to create meaningful experiences and connections for fans.”

Last month, the Washington Wire reported that the company would not renew its partnership with the Commanders.

“Medliminal, a medical billing compliance company centered in Manassas, Virginia, announced in an email they will not be renewing their sponsorship pact for this upcoming season.”

According to John Keim of ESPN in 2020, both Nike and FedEx stated that if they didn’t change the team’s name, they would also end their partnership with the organization.

“In June 2020, major sponsors, including FedEx and Nike, said they would stop sponsoring the team if the franchise’s former name was not changed. Shortly thereafter, the team announced it would retire the name and its associated Native American imagery.”

However, on Tuesday evening, former Commanders wide receiver Pierre Garcon was on Clubhouse in the Pro Sports Network room. Kevin Pryor of 950 networks hosted the room. During the conversation, I asked Garcon if there were any positive stories involving him and Synder or his teammates and the owner.

“Honestly, Dan Snyder has helped me out many times, but this one time after the hurricane happened in Haiti. It was Hurricane Matthews, and the island was hit bad and Dan Snyder, I think it was his birthday, and he’s like, how’s your family down in Haiti,” said Garcon.

“I was like, you know they are dealing with it. So he’s like, hey, I want to send some medical supplies. You and Ricky Jean, because we were both from Haiti on the team. And he’s like, and you take all the medical equipment out of the training room, take it on the plane, and drop it off… This is after a game against Baltimore and he’s telling me this right after the game.”

After spending his first four seasons in the league with the Colts, Pierre Garcon played five seasons in Washington. He caught 628 receptions for 7854 yards with 38 touchdowns in 148 games throughout his ten-year career.
