Two years ago, Mark Cuban revealed that he would be willing to sell Dirk Nowitzki a piece of the Dallas Mavericks franchise.

“Sure,” said Cuban.

I had the opportunity speak with the future Hall of Famer later in 2019, and asked him about Cuban’s comments.

“It is an honor that he said that; I want to focus on me still playing, and whatever I decided to do after my career. We will cross that bridge when we get there,” 犀利士5mg buford.com/2019/02/28/its-an-honor-says-dirk-nowitzki-in-response-to-mark-cubans-comments-on-team-ownership/”>said Nowitzki.

Before the final game of the 2019 season for the Dallas Mavericks in San Antonio, Cuban shared with me that he had not spoken about it with Dirk. However, I revealed that Nowitzki that it was an honor that he would even consider it.

If it does happen one of Nowitzki’s former teammates thinks it would be a good fit.

I recently spoke with former Dallas Maverick turned Bally Sports Southwest analyst, Devin Harris and asked him about the possibility.

“I think it is fitting. What he has done for this organization, and he poured his heart, sweat, and tears about it, and brought a championship back,” said Harris. I think it would be a fitting way to end it or begin it. By giving him a piece of that and allowing him to make some of those discussions.”

Harris also shared with me that he has not officially retired from the NBA, and hope to get another opportunity to play again.

At the end of the 2019 season, Mark Cuban shared that Nowitzki has a job for life. He also promised that they would be building him a statue.

“I promise you that everything you taught us will continue on,” said Cuban.

“I promise you; you have a job for life. And Cuban said he’s going to put the “biggest, most badass statue” in front of the arena to honor Dirk.”

Dirk Nowitzki will be one of the headliners of the 2024 Hall of Fame Class along with Dwyane Wade.
