There are few more popular soccer competitions across the globe than the English Premier League.
Action in the top-flight in England is watched by billions every week, with some of the most iconic clubs in the world playing their soccer in the competition.
According to Transfermarkt, the value of the clubs in the Premier League equate to just over €11.8 billion.
But, which clubs rank among the most valuable in England’s top division?
Manchester City (€1.31 Billion)
Manchester City ranks as the most valuable team in the Premier League. Pep Guardiola’s side has been the dominant force in England, winning the top-flight title in each of the last four seasons. However, success hasn’t always been assured, as they were essentially a yo-yo club throughout the 90s and 2000s.
They were promoted back to the Premier League in 2002, and their future was forever changed in 2008 when Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan invested in them.
Arsenal (€1.13 Billion)
Arsenal are London’s most valuable club based on the stats at Transfermarkt, with only Man City outgunning the Gunners based on value. The Gunners are one of the most successful teams in England, having won the top-flight title on 13 occasions.
Their most famous success came in 2003-04 after going the entire Premier League campaign without defeat. Arsenal have also won a record 14 FA Cups, and the League Cup on two occasions.
Liverpool (€993 Million)
Liverpool look set to equal the record number of top-flight titles in England this term, as they are on course for a 20th success. You can check how they place in the betting sites here: youbet.com/soccer/how-to-bet-on-english-premier-league/
Despite this, the Reds have only won the Premier League title on one previous occasion.
Liverpool are the most successful English team in Europe, winning six European Cups. They are one of the best-supported teams in Europe, and they have been a regular contender for the Premier League title in recent seasons.
Chelsea (€928 Million)
Like Manchester City, Chelsea’s modern future has been shaped following a financial takeover in the early 2000s. The Blues quickly became one of the most dominant teams in the Premier League, winning the top-flight title on six occasions.
They are also the only team to be based in the English capital to have won the Champions League. Based on trophies alone, Chelsea are the fifth-most successful team in England.
Tottenham (€846 Million)
Tottenham Hotspur are one of the biggest teams in England that are yet to win the Premier League title. Success in recent history has been few and far between, with the North London club winning their most recent honour in the League Cup in 2008.
Spurs reached the Champions League final in 2018-19, but they were beaten by Liverpool. Despite a recent drought, Tottenham still rank among the highest-earning clubs in world soccer.
Manchester United (€724 Million)
Manchester United is the most successful team in English soccer, having produced periods of dominance under legendary managers such as Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex Ferguson.
The latter led the team to a dominant period, winning the league title on 13 occasions, and claiming two victories in the Champions League. However, success since Ferguson’s retirement has faded, with United winning the Europa League, two League Cups, and two editions of the FA Cup.
Newcastle United (€606 Million)
Newcastle United is one of the one-city clubs in England, and they have a massive and passionate following. The Magpies have been a member of the Premier League in all but three seasons, and they have spent 92 campaigns in the top-flight.
Newcastle have won the top-flight title on four occasions, but success has been harder to achieve in recent memory. However, they appear to be a club on the rise, winning their first trophy in 56 years after landing the EFL Cup in 2024-25.
Aston Villa (€642 Million)
Aston Villa are the most significant club in the second-biggest city in England. The Villa are one of the oldest and most successful teams in England. They have won the First Division title on seven occasions, and have also won the FA Cup on seven occasions.
Villa’s path back to the top of the sport has been apparent in recent seasons, with Unai Emery taking the club back into the Champions League for the first time since 1982-83.
Brighton & Hove Albion (€549 Million)
Brighton & Hove Albion are the best-run team in England. They were founded in 1901, and they won their only major trophy when winning the Charity Shield in 1910.
Their modern-day status was assured after they were promoted back to the top flight after a 34-year absence in 2017. Since then, the Seagulls have achieved a league-high finish of sixth and competed in Europe for the first time in their history.
West Ham United (€495 Million)
West Ham is one of the most famous teams in England. Founded in 1895, the club has won five major honors in its history, with its latest success coming in the 2023 Europa Conference League.
The Hammers also significantly impacted the national team’s most famous moment, with Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst, and Martin Peters all being members of the 1966 World Cup-winning team for England.
