Tom Brady Acquires Interest In Las Vegas Aces

Las Vegas Aces owner Mark Davis announced today that seven-time Super Bowl Champion Tom Brady has acquired an ownership interest in the World Champion Las Vegas Aces of the WNBA.
Brady, a 23-year NFL veteran and five-time Super Bowl MVP, was first introduced to the Aces when he sat courtside at the team’s May 31, 2022 home win over the Connecticut Sun. After seeing the outstanding quality of play, coupled with the excitement and passion of the Las Vegas Aces fans, Tom knew he wanted to be a part of the organization.
“Since I purchased the Aces, our goal has been to win on and off the court,” explained Davis. “Tom Brady is a win not only for the Aces, and the WNBA, but for women’s professional sports as a whole.”
“I am very excited to be part of the Las Vegas Aces organization,” said Brady. “My love for women’s sports began at a young age when I would tag along to all my older sisters’ games—They were by far the best athletes in our house! We celebrated their accomplishments together as a family, and they remain a great inspiration to me.
“I have always been a huge fan of women’s sports, and I admire the work that the Aces’ players, staff, and the WNBA continue to do to grow the sport and empower future generations of athletes. To be able to contribute in any way to that mission as a member of the Aces organization is an incredible honor.”
The Aces relocated to Las Vegas prior to the 2018 season, and were purchased by Mark Davis prior to the 2021 campaign. Since that time, they have evolved into one of the premier progressive organizations in all of sports, acquiring top-tier talent on the court, on the sidelines and in the front office, and embracing the Las Vegas community.
During the 2020 season, the WNBA and WNBPA formed the Social Justice Council with the mission of being a driving force of necessary change and continuing conversations about race and voting rights, among other important societal issues.
In 2020, the WNBA and the Women’s National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA) signed a groundbreaking eight-year CBA that charts a new course for women’s basketball—and women’s sports overall—with a focus on increased player compensation, improvements to the player experience, expanded career development opportunities and resources specifically tailored to the female professional athlete.
Key elements of the agreement are supported through the league’s partnership platform, WNBA Changemakers, with AT&T, the WNBA’s Marquee Partner and inaugural Changemaker, as well as fellow inaugural Changemakers Deloitte and NIKE, Inc, and subsequent additions Google and U.S. Bank.
Brady’s purchase is subject to WNBA approval.
