Former Warriors coach Mark Jackson. Jackson helped develop both Klay Thompson and Steph Curry during his three seasons, and also posted a record of 121-109 in three seasons at the helm in Golden State. Despite have a winning record and leading the Warriors to consecutive playoff appearances for the first time in two decades, Jackson was fired by Warriors management. He was replaced by Steve Kerr and the Warriors. Kerr has been very vocal with his support for all Mark Jackson contributions.
“When I was in TV, I was doing Warriors games for years,” Kerr said two seasons ago.“Every year, they were one of the worst defensive teams in the league. Mark came in and made a focus on being a tough, defensive-minded team.”
On Tuesday morning, Warriors forward Andre Iguodala was a guest on The Breakfast Club promoting his new book entitled ‘The Sixth Man.’ During the interview, DJ Envy asked whatever happened to Mark Jackson?
“It was the politics,” said Iguodala. “Once they want you out they’re going to find something.”
“So it was the church in the facility…On Wednesday night service he would set up a computer and he’d just preach,” he explained. “One particular issue—from what I heard—were his views on gender or marriage or what the Bible said on your sexuality.”
