Dwyane Wade Is A Role Model For The City Of Chicago & The Entire NBA, Says Doc Rivers
The Los Angeles Clippers are coming off a 106-98 loss to the Dallas Mavericks in the third game of a four-game road on Tuesday night. I was the first time the Clippers have been back to Dallas since the Patrick Beverley’s altercation with Maverick Superfan Don Knobler. Beverley was ejected for throwing the ball at Knobler and later received a $25,000 fine.
Beverley said after that game that Knobler repeatedly yelled: “f— your mother” from his Courtside seat.
“I mean. I don’t know what you’d want me to do,” Beverley told reporters that night. “What would you guys do? So, it’s all right. I’m going to stay professional and stay Pat and play hard and do what I do. But I’m a man, and my morals are strong, and I stand by my morals.”
According to both ESPN and The Dallas Morning News that fans confirmed Beverley’s story and also shared with the team that Knobler has even heckled other players as well. News broke that Knobler has been banned for the remainder of the season, according to multiple sources, but he has been seen since December 4th of this past year.
As for the Clippers they are in Miami to take on the Heat and their future Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade for the final time this season. Before the season, Wade announced that this would be his last dance and he would be hanging up his sneakers at the end of the season.
Before yesterday‘s shootaround in Dallas, I spoke with Clippers head coach Doc Rivers about his thoughts on D Wade.
”I love him. I’ve known him and recruited him, and I’ve dubbed him the second best player to go to Marquette, which he laughs at obviously. I love him, so the basketball part for me he is a champion, a winner, but he is also a great role model for the city of Chicago, and for the entire NBA. So, for me being a kid that grew up in the city of Chicago and going to Marquette he is the best,” Rivers told me.
