Kobe Bryant: Micheal Jordan’s HOF Speech Will Be Most Influential Speech, We Ever Seen, Says Analyst
It has been a year and a couple of months since the helicopter accident took the lives of nine people, including Kobe and GiGi Bryant. The helicopter was en route to the Sports Academy, formally known as the Mamba Sports Academy.
This weekend Bryant will be taking his place in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, and will be inducted by his Idol Michael Jordan himself.
“When Kobe Bryant died, a piece of me died, and as I look at this arena and across the globe, a piece of you died,” he said last February. “I promise you, from this day forward, I will live with the memories of knowing that I had a little brother that I tried to help in every way I could. Please rest in peace, little brother.”
NBA analyst thinks when Jordan inducts Kobe Bryant this weekend, he will deliver the most influential Hall of Fame speech ever.
“It’s going to be the most influential Hall of Fame speech, we have ever seen. Two of the greatest players we have ever seen in Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Michael will be speaking about him, and it will be a heartfelt moment. I feel like I can speak for everybody because I am not okay with Kobe and Gigi not being here. I’m not okay with it, and it doesn’t rest well in my soul; it hurts. It stings we are trying to look for closure, and we do not know how to honor him,” said Ryan Hollins.
“There is no perfect way to deal with this, but when you get close to Kobe, you find out how dope he is. When you think you know everything about someone, you find out how amazing a father, a player, and a teammate he was. He was the real deal on and off the court. I think [at] that moment will be the most influential Hall of Fame speech that we have ever seen. It is literally going to be history. Make sure you pull up and watch that one because that’s going to be gold.”
Retired NBA player turned scout for the New York Knicks, Makhtar N’Diaye believes Bryant being inducted into the Hall of Fame is the right thing to do.
“I think it is the right thing to do. I think he deserves it if anybody, and that’s where he is supposed to be anyway. Kobe has changed the narrative for basketball. So, for me personally, he was one of my favorite players. Just because of what he stood for and how he approached it. So, congratulation to him and his family; unfortunately, he is not here to witness this, but his here,” said N’Diaye.
On Michael Jordan inducting Kobe, “I think it is ironic because I know Kobe would have loved to have MJ walk him and we probably would have seen the same walk because they walk alike. I think it was big enough for MJ to do it, but also accept that Kobe was the closest to him.”
Bryant played 20 seasons in the league, all with the Los Angeles Lakers, and won five championships.
