WNBPA Players Prepare to Make their Voices Heard on Tuesday Night

Today, Rock the Vote, who as you know, has for the last 30+ years been a leader in engaging young people in politics and civic engagement, is launching Freedom to Vote, which is a major multi-pronged campaign to organize young people around the For The People Act and John Lewis Voting Rights Act.
The WNBPA has joined this education and outreach campaign as a partner, standing with dozens of other diverse partners to target over 5-million young people on these important pieces of legislation.
As I mentioned, there’s an education component and an outreach component. Rock the Vote has long said that one of the biggest hurdles to getting young people involved in politics and voting is the lack of civic education across the country, so education around these pieces of legislation is an imperative part of this campaign. Outreach is also a critical component, and through this campaign, with a click of a button, young people will be able to directly advocate to their members of Congress.
Check out the campaign website here to get an idea. If you scroll down and click take action, you will be redirected to another page, where folks will be able to call, email, and tweet about the legislation and their Congress members.
Especially given how active the WNBPA was in the last election, I think this could be a powerful story around their effort to continue promoting the Freedom to Vote.
You’ll find the full list of partners, as it stands at this moment below.
