Orlando Magic big man Mo Bamba and Minnesota Timberwolves babysitting Austin Rivers were among the five players to be ejected in the third quarter of Friday’s match to Target Center following an altercation on the court.
Timberwolves’ Taurean Prince and Orlando’s Jaden McDaniels and Jalen Suggs were also thrown out for their involvement in the fight.
No one knows what started the fight.
However, things seemed to get out of hand when Rivers was near the Magic’s bench. Bamba, who was on the bench, seemed to rise from his seat and grab a swing at Rivers before the two exchanged more shots and others got involved.
The NBA will probably impose fines and/or suspensions on those who participated in the fight. After the game Rivers took to his Instagram to address the altercation.
“Buddy [Mo Bamba] I went at you 1 on !!! With no Back up!! U needed UR Team Mates other wise U would been Chocked out. Talking about find out. We only know U from an Old Rap Song… Not Hoops. Stfu . And Orlando My City. Ask Around An Actually find out. They DOn’t Mess With U There….Facts,” said Rivers.
