Television drama has come a long way in recent years. Audiences are looking for more sophisticated and engaging stories than ever before. A show that set this high standard for fans during its five seasons was The Wire.

Their audience was hooked on this drama and strained exploration of the world of crime and the deeper world of social policy.

However, despite its popularity amongst their audience, acclaimed by critics, the show never received any award recognition. The show ended in 2008, but 13 years later, the show is still regarded as one of the best.

Over the past six years, Starz Power has become a fan favorite as well, and Omari Hardwick or James St. Patrick on the show was a big reason why. Most recently, Snowfall on FX has become the next drama captivating its audience.

Hardwick was a guest on Welcome to Higher Learning hosted by Van Lathan and Rachel Lindsay, powered by The Ringer. During his appearance, he was asked about various topics, including ranking all three television programs.

“Awesome question. I think we’re as f***, so we were dominant AF for four seasons. Dominate, like bang, bang, bang, bang, bang. I think ‘Snowfall,’ shout outs to our beloved late and great John Singleton. Which is partly why Damson [Idris] are going to work together because John was very keen on both of us as young actors. And We decided to continue what John would’ve wanted us to continue, so Damson and I will do that. And I can’t wait to start curate work with him. I’ll say it’s a fascinating thing story-wise as to what they created. So, i’ll give it a great ranking, but it can’t be in the ranking of those two that are tried, tribulated, and now done. And remember the spins off of power are not necessarily consistent to that which I’ve done,” said Hardwick.

“And once my character was over, now I am counting that show only. To your point, not ‘Ghost,’ not ‘Force’ with Joseph Sikora. I’m so freaking happy he got that, especially Joseph. And what not, obviously Michael Rainey has been able to do and Keep going with ‘Tariq.’ I can’t say that on the list would be ‘Snowfall’ at this point because it’s still running and still balling. And still trying to figure out the crossover and the fadeaway. They haven’t proven all of that yet.

But I would say consistently speaking, the convoluted storyline on both sides. Cops, the wiretap, the governmental officials over the cops, the drug dealers, the family member of drug dealers. They consistently showed up in the writers’ room included and the acting, the crew, and how it was shot, and to me, they edge us out by a season. Because I think we were dominant for four seasons in a very beautiful, handsome, stunning way. I think ‘The Wire’ went five years. It was five seasons, and we talk about it like it was ten.”

He would continue: “I would us number two, and would say that ‘Snowfall’ is a very, which is a compliment because they’re because they are still rocking. I would give them number 3. That’s pretty good company to be in.”

Hardwick is now working on a Netflix project called Army of the Dead, according to The Sun.
