Method Man who plays Davis MacLean is the latest guest on ‘The Crew Has It’ with Michael Rainey Jr. and Gianni Paolo. During his appearance he revealed how the first script came across his desk.

“My agent called me and s***, and what was I doing at that point and time? I did something with John Singleton and got my first love team. Shoutout to John Singleton RIP… I was doing Drop The Mic shoutout James Corden and those guys. Yeah, got the call and said let me load up my guns. I’m about to kill some shit. He’s like the part is for a lawyer. I was like you know what? First face drop than, I was this could be interesting.

How did he feel when they told him, he’s going to be a lawyer?

“I was like they are trying to change me, and the fact I was put in that lane right there, somebody up there trusts me. And this has opened so many different lanes for me. People actually think I’m smart. I mean, I’m smart but smarter than I actually am. You know what I mean, so that’s great,” said Method.

The continued about talking about the courtroom scenes.

“No lie, one of the easiest days in the courtroom scene because all of them are hard, right? One of the easiest days when you were there [Gianni Paolo (Brayden Weston)]. You were so, it and it was popping, and Paton [Ashbrook (Jenny Sullivan)]. Like her pacing, if you follow her lead, she will lead you water every time. Love her, man!”

Speaking of Method, earlier this month, The Wu-Tang Clan released his new album ‘Meth Lab Season 3:The Rehab.’ The project has guest appearances from Redman, Jadakiss, KRS-One, Cappadonna, Hanz On, JoJo Pelligrino, RJ Payne, Iron Mic, etc.

“This installation of the ‘Meth Lab’ is shaping up to be a good one,” the 51-year-old rapper said in a statement leading up to Season 3’s release,” according to Complex

“We’ve had a lot of setbacks with this album, one being a pandemic and a lockdown. Amongst all the delays my team stayed solid and the album developed into a respectful body of work.”
