The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball played Bryant Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon, and things got a little bit of hand during the game.
With 7:35 remaining in the first half, there are several ejections due to a few slaps by Judah Mintz of Syracuse and Bryant’s Doug Edert.
Bryant’s Kvonn Cramer and Tyler Brelsford were also kicked out, while assistant coaches SU Adcoachtry, Allen Griffin, and BOBO Pete Corasaniti left the bench.
After Mintz made a foul in the line, Mintz became entangled with Gross-Bullock. Mintz then slaps Edert, who takes revenge and strikes Mintz on the side of his head. John Bol Ajak ran to defend Mintz, causing officials to step in and attempt to separate the two teams.
Adrian Autry and Bryant’s coaches seemed to share a few words as the teams retreated to the bench.
After NBC 10’s Joe Kayata out of Providence, RI tweeted the video social media erupted.
NBC Boston’s Steve Perrault tweeted, “You can’t slap someone like that and then be running away all scared.”
Former NFL wide receiver Aaron Mellette tweeted, “Can’t slap somebody then run away scared lol.”
Finally, former SNY’s anchor Chris Williamson tweeted, “Doug got a little too much dip on his chip after that Elite 8 run lmao why he smack my man like he was his momma tho lol.”
