According to ESPN, Los Angeles Lakers All-Star LeBron James seems to have taken the 28-year-old rapper Migos Kirshnik Khari’s “Take off” ball particularly hard.

Before the Crypto.com Arena game on Sunday afternoon with the Cleveland Cavaliers 8-1, the 18-time All-Star has chosen to honor the death star with pre-game attire today, which reflects an emblematic Takeoff look: a black funeral suit and black tie, with a white jersey, shades, and the Takeoff signature chain.

The Chosen One, a long-time Takeoff and Migos fan, has also changed her Instagram profile photo to a Takeoff image.

Takeoff, twice nominated for the Grammy Awards, was fatally gunned down outside a Houston bowling alley in Houston at an event with his uncle, Migos bandmate Quavo.

Houston Police Chief Troy Finner stated that he was skeptical that the shooter was targeting Take-off.

“Sometimes the hip hop community gets a bad name and I know, evident from this city and people who I have a personal relationship with, a lot of great people in our hip hop community and I respect them.

“But back to Takeoff. I got many calls from Houston and outside of Houston, and everyone spoke of what a great young man this is, how peaceful he is, what a great artist.

“And I’m calling up on everybody, hip hop artists in Houston and around the nation, we got to police ourselves.

“It is so many talented individuals, men and women in that community, who again I love and I respect, and we all need to stand together and make sure nobody tears down that industry.”
