St. Thomas Aquinas tight end Mason Taylor, the son of the Pro Football Hall of Famer Jason Taylor, will cause havoc this season for opposing teams. ON Saturday afternoon, the LSU commit had a breakout game in the Raiders’ 38-23 win against St. Frances Academy (Maryland).

Taylor caught 12 passes for 162 yards. Saying that these are the best career numbers for Taylor would be an understatement considering that he grabbed a total of six assists for 133 yards in five games last fall.

“It felt great. It was a great defense with the big guys, physical,” said Taylor. “We came out here and worked harder. We’ve been running, conditioning, we were prepared for it and they weren’t. It’s a great way to start the season off.”

After the game, Taylor received some praise from Joy Taylor, the co-host of the Herd on FS1 with Colin Cowherd.

In doing so, it prompted a Twitter user RockyFaun [@faun360742], to tweet asking if Joy was shooting her shot. Taylor would clap back, stating that Mason was her nephew and called Rocky a ‘weirdo.’

We wish Mason nothing but the best for the rest of the season and his future endeavors, and you can catch Joy Taylor on The Herd weekdays on FS1.
