Once again, Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson was involved in an altercation. This time against Desmond Bane and the Memphis Grizzlies.
Everyone will recall that incident with Jonathan Kuminga and the Golden State Warriors when Clarkson committed a Flagrant 2. Then they clashed with the Dubs, apparently ready to confront them.
A similar incident occurred Sunday in the third quarter of the Jazz game with the Grizzlies. After a major foul on Bane, which ended up also being called a Flagrant 2, Clarkson took his battle pose as Jaren Jackson Jr. approached him to speak with him. So, of course, Clarkson was ejected for the incident.
Thankfully, the referees and players stopped Clarkson and Jaren Jackson Jr. before things got out of control.
After the incident, Ja Morant [turned] to the Jazz bench: “All y’all can get it.” “I’m with all that.” Jordan Clarkson is talking back by doing the sleeping motion with his hands. He’s been ejected after a flagrant-2 foul, according to Damichael Cole of The Commercial Appeal.
Speaking of Clarkson, he turned down a contract extension with the Jazz, according to Marc Stein.
“Myles Turner, to this point, has rebuffed Indiana’s contract extension offers, league sources say. Ditto for Jordan Clarkson in Utah, where sources say the Jazz came into the season hopeful of securing a new long-term deal with Clarkson before he becomes a free agent this summer. There are teams out there naturally hoping that Turner or Clarkson (or both) will be in play for trades before the deadline. I don’t see the Jazz trading Clarkson; Turner’s situation continues to be harder to read.”
