Cowboys QB Dak Prescott Expected To Start Against The Vikings On Sunday Night

On Monday, Dak is spotted in good spirits without his walking boot cheering on the team’s nutritionist running sprints on the practice field.

The media shouts to him are you playing in Minnesota this Sunday.

“I’m fine!!” Prescott shouts back to the media, per David Moore of the Dallas Morning News.

Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys have sounded very optimistic this week that their star QB Dak Prescott will start Sunday night against the Vikings in Minnesota. Dak Prescott strained his right calf on the game winning touchdown against the Patriots almost 2 weeks ago, luckily going into the bye week.

“Based on what you saw [Monday], that was very encouraging. But those things have to be monitored. We’ve got a solid week, which is great, to monitor that,” Jerry Jones recently stated on “Shan & RJ” on Dallas 105.3 The Fan. “I thought [Zack] Martin had a good description of it when he had the calf tear last year. He said some days it feels great and then it feels like you got run over by a bulldozer the next day. But still, I feel very good about where Dak is right now.”

Zack Martin, who had missed time due to a calf injury last season, added this.

Stephen Jones has optimism but also stated, on 105.3 The Fan during The K&C Masterpiece, that they will pursue what’s best for their franchise QB at the end of the day.

The Dallas Cowboys will return to the practice field Wednesday and Dak Prescott is expected to be a participant.

And that’s not all. As stated earlier, the bye week couldn’t come at a better time for the Cowboys as they will welcome back their pro bowl RT La’el Collins this week, WR Michael Gallup is cleared for practice return, and their 2021 2nd round draft pick CB Kelvin Joseph could be activated for Week 8.

There’s a lot of optimism in Dallas as they travel to Minnesota to take on the 3-3 Vikings on Halloween night.
