Will Geno Smith be on the Seattle Seahawks roster for the 2025-2026 NFL season? Well in my opinion the answer is…..yes….. simply because 12s don’t want to see Sam Howell as their starting quarterback. Since trading Russell Wilson the front office and fans knew it was a matter of time before a serious conversation and decision would need to happen as Geno became a band-aid for their bullet wound under center. Now moving forward we all have the same question:

“How durable and reliable is the 34 year old QB moving forward?”

The Seattle Seahawks hold the 18th overall pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft and they have key free agents to consider resigning including defensive tackle Jarran Reed and linebackers Tyrel Dodson and Ernest Jones. Overall, the Hawks hold 6 picks, but 0 picks in the 4th & 5th round. So what are the teams true positional needs that need to be addressed this postseason…well I know…offensive line, safety, linebacker and of course quarterback. While knowing the Hawks only have 6 picks in the upcoming draft, this is how I would use their picks for the first 3 rounds?

Round 1 pick 18: Josh Conerly Jr OT – Oregon

Round 2 pick 50: Shemar Turner Edge – Texas A &M

Round 3 pick 82: Jay Higgins LB – Iowa
