Jennifer Lopez Credits Jamie Foxx for Saving Her Career

Jennifer Lopez revealed a crucial moment early in her career that could have changed the course of her rise to stardom in a touching interview with Entertainment Weekly and actor Jharrel Jerome.

Dancing, she revealed that her time as a Fly Girl on the hit sketch comedy show In Living Color might have been short-lived if not for the unexpected support of comedian Jamie Foxx. “This is very funny, you know why? Because Jamie and I got onto In Living Color in the same year, and we were the two new cast members. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have made it through that season,” Lopez shared candidly during the interview.

“When I first got to LA, I used to run home every weekend because I was so lonely. I hated it. I missed my family, I missed my friends,” she admitted.

“Jamie and I became really good friends, and we’re still friends to this day. Honestly, if it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have gotten through that,” Lopez reflected.

“Wow, I might have moved back to New York, and none of this would have ever happened. We would not be here right now,” Lopez mused.
