Michael Rainey Jr. Stars in ‘Power Book II: Ghost’. As he concludes his tenure at Tariq St. Patrick, Michael is establishing a new path, taking his career straight into hip-hop. Michael is already preparing for his next step, music production, with the series finale airing this week.

Michael was recently interviewed by TMZ Hip Hop while celebrating the conclusion of the hit series at a private dinner with his friends and family. Reflecting on his time portraying Tariq, Michael admitted that playing the complex character was a rewarding experience. However, the fans were even more invested. He said the reaction to the penultimate episode, which saw a significant cast reshuffle, was intense. Fans were so emotional that he joked that he would be $300,000 richer if he had a dollar for every angry message he received after the big reveal.

Michael is enthusiastic about his transition into music despite the fiery responses from fans. Having worked alongside industry legends like 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige, who appeared on Power with Method Man, is familiar with hip-hop. However, he is ready to establish himself as a beatmaker behind the scenes. Michael has already let 50 Cent know about his new venture and expects 50 to rap over one of his beats. Perhaps Michael’s production could motivate 50 Cent fans to make his comeback album a reality.

Even though he’s focusing on music, Michael clarified that he won’t be stepping away from acting. Chloe Bailey, YG, Serayah, and others will see him in the upcoming horror film Goons. It becomes apparent that Michael Rainey Jr. Is just getting started, and whether he’s in front of the camera or behind the mixing board, his future looks incredibly promising.
