Members Of the New Orleans Pelicans Will Be In the Attendance For the Cowboys & Packers Game

USA Today
On Sunday, January 13th, the second seeded Dallas Cowboys will be hosting the seventh seeded Green Bay Packers. The wild card match will be the ninth time both franchise have squared off against one another throughout their postseason history. A feat that is tied for the most playoff meetings between two teams.
The last time both franchises faced each other in the postseason was in the 2016 divisional round. It would feature a match up between future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers and Dak Prescot, and current Dallas Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy on the opposing sideline. The Packers would go on to win the game thanks to a Mason Crosby 51-yard field to put the Packers up 34-31.
“Love has been playing some good football in his first year as a starter,” Cowboys safety Jayron Kearse said Monday. “Thirty-plus touchdowns. He’s being put in great situations, they’re scheming some great things up. You got those running backs, A.J. Dillon and Aaron Jones, doing a great job of controlling the game with the run. They definitely provide a challenge. With Green Bay, they’ve won, they know how to win. It’s definitely going to be a challenge, but one that we will definitely be up for. Love has been playing pretty good. They have (Matt) LaFleur, who is dialing things up.”
The highly anticipated game will have numerous spectators in the audience including Pelicans guard CJ McCollum and other members of the team and coaching staff. The New Orleans Pelicans are in Dallas to take on Mavs on Saturday afternoon, as part of their five-game road trip, which will conclude on Monday versus the Mavericks. Unfortunately, the Pelicans coming off a 125-113 loss against the Nuggets. Most of their key players sat out or would sit out due to injuries.
The Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers game kicks off at 3:30 CST PM on Fox on Sunday. The Cowboys are looking to reach the second round of the Playoffs for the second season in a row. Meanwhile, the Packers are looking to advance for the first time since reaching the 2020 NFC Championship game.
