Power Book III: Raising Kanan’s London Brown Says Renée Timmons Helps Marvin Thomas Deal With Suppressed Issues This Season
In the first episode of season two of Raising Kanan, Marvin Thomas can be seen in anger management, and we are introduced to Krystal Joy Brown, who plays Marvin’s therapist Renée Timmons.
In one of the scenes, Marvin Thomas attempts to sign in and then leaves, but unfortunately, Timmons tells Thomas if he doesn’t stay and sit down. Or she would inform the court that he violated the terms of his court agreement & they will find another place for him to sit.
In a recent interview London Brown, who plays Marvin Thomas, shares how Timmons helps his character this season.
“She is very critical in helping Marvin to see himself and helping Marvin see those issues that have been buried. That Marvin has been suppressed over the years and basically throughout his life. She is one of a couple of people who can get through to Marvin, she can get through, and even then, there’s some resistance,” said Brown.
“She is one of those people who is trying to help Marvin see what the issues are. She is devoted enough even to give Marvin that kind of attention is important. Marvin doesn’t trust many people and doesn’t connect with many people. So, for someone to care that much means something to Marvin.”
At the beginning of the season, it looks like Marvin Thomas will replace Lou-Lou Thomas as Raquel Thomas’s right-hand man. Instead, Thomas’s youngest siblings are focusing on his music venture.
