Well you can with AKOIN (AKN) so grab yours now on BitMart.com before we expand to the major exchanges.”
Akon has been a strong supporter of cryptocurrency space, even securing land for a cryptocurrency city. Earlier this year, Akon obtained land in Uganda to build a city based on cryptocurrency, its second futuristic city in Africa.
On Thursday Afternoon, Akon was on Instagram Live with Idrissa B and discussed their partnership in the NFT space, AKoin, and his upcoming album that he is selling as a NFT.
“AKION is the African coin and the whole idea is it to be a the currency in the future. When Crytpo takes over and when you go to Africa you will be spending AKION for your day to day usage. And the beautiful thing about it is that we just got over the hump. The wallet will be coming out soon we are in the beta testing now and in January it will be fully effective, but we did get the AKION Mastercard. So, If you own AKION you can get the card and spend it in any major store. So, it’s real,” said Akon.
“Akon Cities are going to be the future of Africa franchising in all of the major countries and we are doing it in Senegal. We also going to do it in Uganda, Ethopia as well, Congo, but we will be announcing all of the countries that we will be doing it in. I’m happy to announce that we actually partnered with Dubai. So, Dubai is on board, so we will actually be doing some great partnerships with Dubai’s ports where all the goods will go into Akon Cities as well.”
He also added, “The album is coming soon. It’s going to be an NFT Album. So, it’s a whole another world.”
