NBA Insider Breaks Down Biggie Reference In LeBron James No-Look Three Highlight

Earlier this season, the Los Angeles Lakers were on the road to take on the Houston Rockets. Dennis Schroder bet James that he wouldn’t make the shot in the corner at a highlighted moment in the game. James hit a no-look three turnaround and “Bet It.”
“Dennis hit me with a bet, while I was still shooting the ball. A bet isn’t official until you look a man in the eyes. So, I had to look him in the eye a and I was able to win that one,” said James.
According to TMZ Sports, the Bet was a hundred dollars.
“I told him to bet a Benjamin on it. He shot it, turned around & said, ‘Bet.’ Then it went in. It’s just legendary.”
After the game, NBA TV’s Ro Parrish going through highlights of the games that were the schedule for that night. When he got to the point where he was narrating the Lakers highlights, he uttered the words, “LeBron is Clowning in H-Town.”
“Down in H-Town somebody asked LeBron, who is the man, he says it’s me then he bust this three in they eye. LeBron clowning in H-Town where it goes down,” says Parrish.
I recently caught up with Parrish and asked him where he got the reference from that, he said during the LeBron James highlight sequence.
“Okay, let me break it down like this, I’m a retired DJ. I love music, and I have music playing right now, DA Baby is playing in the background. So, I always have music on and I’m always listening to lyrics. So, I will not take full credit for what I said because I know what you are referencing,” said Parrish.
“That was originally composed by the late, great Christopher Wallace and I took it and maneuvered it. So, what I said was, “LeBron asked who’s the man, he says it’s me then he bust this three in they eye, Which Biggie says something else. If you are familiar with the record ”Dead Wrong’ at the end of verse one you can piece that together with I said.”
The verse that Parrish was referencing can be found here. You can also listen to it and watch the music video below.
