Warner Bros Built The James Dome While Filming Space Jam 2, Says Mike Mancias

In the early 1990s, Warner Bros created the Jordan Dome for Michael Jordan to train while filming the hit film Space Jam. 25 years later, the sequel featuring LeBron James is scheduled to be released on July 16, 2021.
“Initially, what they were going to do was just paint some lines on the parking lot and put a couple of hoops up,” Grover said. “And I was like, ‘No, no, no. Thi s is Michael Jordan. We’re not playing basketball in a parking lot. Not gonna happen.” Grover took the lead on building the inflatable dome on the Warner Bros. Lot in Burbank, something he equates to the indoor fields NFL teams use today.”
Space Jam Director Joe Pytka added, “It was a full-sized basketball court with an inflatable dome. And Michael would go up there, and everybody in town would come to play basketball there and challenge him. He’d play basketball every night, and he had great players come in. All the LA players could run up there to play.”
Like Jordan almost three decades ago, Warner Brothers created the James Dome, according to his trainer Mike Mancias.
“Just like Michael Jordan in 1995, Warner Bros created a Dome for LeBron James, to work out in and play basketball. When we were not filming Space Jam 2, Mancias told me recently.”
In a recent interview, James body double Sheldon Bailey shared that the future Hall of Famer has to have his trainer and masseuse on his rider.
“When talking about durability, when looking the game, while in the bubble. LeBron [James] is in the tunnel doing lunges with a twist. He has been with his trainer, and every set there may or may not be some security,” said Bailey.
“However, LeBron [James] always has his trainer, and on his rider, he has a masseuse. The dude is literally working his muscles or getting them worked on, and he has a chef. Look how he is performing at one particular level at what year in his career. Some guys don’t want to do the work, but it also takes the right introduction somewhere in the program. So, guys know how to do the work.”
On Thursday, errer noopener”>Entertainment Weekly revealed some of the first images from the upcoming film. As a part of their latest cover release. This weekend James will be participating in the All-Star game on Sunday. Looking to lead Team James to victory over Team Durant.
